Terms of Service

These Terms govern your use of Dishes, a marketplace that connects independent home cooks with people who want fresh, made-to-order food. By creating an account, browsing the marketplace, placing an order, or listing food for sale, you agree to these Terms.

You must be at least 18 years old (or the age of majority where you live) and legally able to enter a contract. Cooks must be authorized to prepare and sell food under their local laws.

You are responsible for your account, password, and all activity under it, and for providing accurate, complete information.

Dishes is a platform that connects cooks and eaters. We are not a party to the transaction between you and a cook, we are not a food inspector, and we do not guarantee that any cook is licensed, compliant, or able to fulfill an order. Each cook is an independent seller responsible for their own food and business.

Cooks agree to prepare food safely, accurately match their listings, disclose allergens and ingredients, fulfill orders on time, and follow all local food-safety, labeling, and tax rules. Cooks must keep their business verification, permits, and certifications current as required.

Buyers agree to provide accurate pickup or delivery details, pay on time, and pick up or receive orders when expected. Exact pickup addresses are shared only after an order is accepted.

Orders are placed with one cook at a time. Card payments are processed by Stripe. Dishes is not the seller of the food and is not responsible for the cook’s performance.

Cooks pay a $9.99/month subscription to list a storefront. A service fee is added to each order. Subscription does not guarantee approval, listing, or order volume.

Reviews and posts must be honest and based on real experience. Fake, paid, or misleading content is not allowed and may be removed.

You agree not to misuse the service, violate laws, sell prohibited items, infringe others’ rights, or interfere with the platform. See Prohibited Items & Conduct.

We may suspend or remove accounts, storefronts, or content that violate these Terms or pose a risk to others.

Dishes is provided "as is" and "as available." We do not warrant that every listing is available, accurate, or compliant.

To the extent permitted by law, Dishes is not liable for indirect, incidental, or consequential damages arising from your use of the marketplace, and our total liability is limited to the fees you paid us in the prior 12 months.

We may update these Terms. Continued use after changes means you accept the updated Terms.
