Summary — not legal advice

This is a plain-language summary. The final binding text is pending legal review by Dishes. Please check back for the official version.

About this policy

This explains what Dishes collects, how we use it, and your choices. Card data is handled directly by Stripe under its own privacy policy.

Information we collect

Account details (name, email), profile and preferences, listings and orders, messages between cooks and buyers, device and approximate usage data, and information you give us for support.

How we use it

To run the marketplace, process and fulfill orders, communicate updates, verify cooks, prevent fraud and abuse, and improve the product.

Sharing

We share data needed to operate the marketplace: with Stripe for payments, with the cook for their orders and messages, and as required by law. We never sell your personal information.

Cookies & local storage

We use local storage to remember your cart, favorites, and preferences while you browse. We do not use advertising cookies to sell your data.

Data retention

We keep your data while your account is active and as needed to meet legal or record-keeping obligations. You can request deletion, subject to those obligations.

Your rights

You can view and update your profile, manage preferences, and request correction or deletion of your data from your account or by contacting us.

Children

Dishes is not for children under 13, and we do not knowingly collect their data. Cooks must be adults authorized to sell food.

Security

We use reasonable safeguards, but no system is perfectly secure. Keep your account credentials safe.

Changes

We may update this policy. Material changes will be posted in the app.
